A hidden gem on the Senja Ridge

sandvik48

The Senja Ridge is a long time fascination with me. Discos, the public database of seismic from the Norwegian continental shelf contains tons of seismic, and sifting through it, you can sometimes find gold. The surveys NH801/NH8402 is one such load of gold.

Multiple removal and deghosting

The Senja Ridge is much more uplifted and eroded i Cretaceous times than its sister structural high to the north, the Veslemøy High. To my eyes the Base Tertiary sites directly on top of steeply dipping Trassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous layers, beautifully illustrated in this survey.

Demultiple and Deghosting brings it all out!
